Great transcription.

Nice job. Does the second E minor part of this piece remind anyone of the beginning of Francisco Tarrega's Lagrima (except it's in E major)? It's exactly the same I think, save the modal difference. Coincidence? :)

Cgseth, I'm very certain Uematsu based "On the Other Side of the Mountain" on "Lagrima". When Francisco Tarrega lived and performed in London, he used to be sad at the end of performances, and "Lagrima" (Tear) was about his longing for home. "On the Other Side of the Mountain" is about Cloud thinking about an incident in his youth in his hometown. Both Tarrega and Uematsu are great musicians who make great pieces. For those who aren't familiar with Francisco Tarrega, look up "Recuerdos De La Alhambra" - amazing piece.

In the part with the keychange when you're walking up:

e--4---2---7---0-------0-2-4-------2-------0---------|
B----0---0---0---2---2-------0---0---0---0---0---0---|
G------------------2-----------2-------2-------1-----|
D--2---1---6---------------------------------------2-|
A--------------0-------0-2-2-------2-----------------|
E------------------------------------------0---------|
^ that 6th fretted note on the D string (G#)

shouldn't that note be a G, on the 5th fret? or is it supposed to be an accidental in that key? It's been a while since i"ve heard the song, but I think that might be off.

otherwise, excellent tab! great tune

Yea that's the part i meant, I copied the wrong spot haha... whoops for not reading the whole line. Yea, right after that part I copied it should be on the 5th fret from there on out, seeing as it changes to minor
